Anastasia Traband, MD is a board certified specialist in medical and surgical diseases of the retina and vitreous.
Dr. Traband joined Eye Consultants of PA in 2017, after completing her fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania’s prestigious Scheie Eye Institute. She completed her undergraduate education at the George Washington University, summa cum laude, in 2006, and subsequently earned her medical degree at Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia. She received her residency training at Boston Medical Center where she served as Chief Resident during her final year. Dr. Traband was happy to return to her native Philadelphia to complete her fellowship training in vitreo-retinal surgery at the Scheie Eye Institute. During her training she was involved with clinical research, published literature in peer-reviewed journals, and acquired skills in advanced surgical techniques.
Dr. Traband specializes in a wide range of medical and surgical diseases of the retina and vitreous including diabetic eye disease, macular degeneration, retinal detachments, hereditary retinal disorders, general macular disorders, uveitis, and trauma. She is experienced with the most current medical and surgical treatments of these disorders.
Dr. Traband is currently on staff at Reading Hospital-Tower Health and the Pennsylvania Eye & Ear Surgery Center.
