Jonathan D. Primack, MD, a corneal specialist, joined The Eye Consultants of Pennsylvania in March 2006.
Dr. Primack received his undergraduate degree Magna Cum Laude from Washington University in St. Louis. He attended the Washington University School of Medicine and subsequently served as an Intern at Lenox Hill Hospital. He performed his Ophthalmology Residency at the Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York City.
Dr. Primack next completed a two-year Cornea, External Disease, and Refractive Surgery Fellowship at the Massachusetts Eye & Ear Infirmary at Harvard Medical School. While at Harvard, he was a recipient of the prestigious Heed Ophthalmic Fellowship.
For over four years, Dr. Primack served as the Director of Refractive Surgery at the North Shore – Long Island Jewish Medical Center in Long Island, New York. At that time, he held an academic title of Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Dr. Primack is Board certified by The American Board of Ophthalmology.
As a leader in anterior segment and refractive surgery, Dr. Primack spends a significant amount of time performing LASIK, cataract procedures, and corneal transplantation. Dr. Primack has published extensively in the peer-reviewed medical literature and regularly delivers lectures to other doctors.
Currently, Dr. Primack serves as the Medical Director for both the Pennsylvania Eye & Ear Surgery Center in Wyomissing, PA and the Physicians Care Surgery Center in Royersford, PA. Dr. Primack has medical staff privileges at the Reading Hospital-Tower Health, Physicians Care Surgical Hospital, Physicians Care Surgery Center, and the Pennsylvania Eye and Ear Surgery Center.
